Considering the role of Biotechnology towards enterprise creation, innovation and economic growth, Government of India has recognized Biotechnology as important sector in ‘Make in India’, ‘Skill India’ and ‘Startup India’ initiatives. Keeping in mind the requirement for trained manpower in the areas of Animal Biotechnology, ICAR-IVRI initiated Post-Graduate Teaching Programme in Animal Biotechnology way back in 1986 by imparting Masters in Animal Biotechnology.
