Novel and chemically characterized anti-tick Phyto-formulation. Extracted from commonly available plant, herbaceous in nature, widely available across the country, plants require very low agronomical conditions to grow. Effective against acaricide-resistant ticks. Recombinant antigen based sero-diagnosis of Infectious Bursal Disease by indirect ELISA
Having fly repellent properties. Having less chance of development of resistant to the developed formulation as it contains many active principles showing anti tick activity. Safe for animal application (as per OECD guidelines 404, 410, 423). Stable at different temperature condition without losing anti-tick activity. Quality control ma rkers identified. Management of ticks including acaricide resistant species. Reduce indiscriminate use of synthetic acaricides. No residual toxicity in milk and meat products, thus it will increase the acceptability of Indian dairy products in the global market. Reduce environmental pollution and maintain food chain. Less chance of development of resistance in target species. Having fly repellent properties. Multi-locational field trials of the developed formulation were conducted in organized and unorganized dairy farms of Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh where commonly used acaricide were not working effectively against tick infestations in animals. The tick population of these locations was found resistant to SP and OP compounds. The clinical efficacy of the formulation was more than 80% against natural tick infestation. The working Phyto-formulation was found safe (OECD guidelines 404, 410, 423) for animal application. It was also stable at 0-4°, 37° and 60°C temperature for 30 days showing consistent anti-tick activity without any significant variation. In vitro anti-tick activity: The LC90 value against reference susceptible IVRI-I tick line was determined as 8.5%. Formulation is 50-75% efficacy against highly resistant IVRI-IV tick line having resistance factor of 194.0 against commonly used deltamethrin. This level of resistance usually does not exist in the field situation. The formulation showed efficacy (>75%) against multi-acaricide resistant IVRI-V line along with inhibition of oviposition. Similarly, the formulation was 75-80% effective against field collected ticks having different level of resistance to pyrethroids and OP compounds. Formulation showed 70-80% efficacy against buffalo lice, dog tick (R. sanguineus) and multi-host tick species, Hyalomma anatolicum. In vivo efficacy: In vivo experimental trial was conducted as per the laboratory standardized method. Under experimental high challenge condition, the efficacy (E%) of the Phyto-formulation was within the range of 67 to 75%.

  2. Mesenchymal Stem Cell Condition Media Based Formulation for Wound Healing

Treating skin wounds with minimal scar formation is a challenge in human as well as in veterinary medicine. Recombinant antigen based sero-diagnosis of Infectious Bursal Disease by indirect ELISA
Though, stem cell therapy has been proved to heal wounds faster with minimum scar formation but due to possibility of immune rejection, more technicalities in application, and being costly affair it is still not much popular amongst livestock and pet owners. While conditioned media has no such problems. The most accepted mechanism of action of MSCs in regenerative therapy is due to secretions from these cells, as these cells are well known for secreting various growth factors and cytokines in response to environmental cues and thus proposed to secrete these growth factors and cytokines in culture media (Dvorak et al., 2005; Ansari et al., 2013; Joseph et al., 2020). Using stem cell conditioned medium is as a novel and promising alternative. It improved wound healing rate with very less scar formation and can be applied in allogenic as well as in xenogenic mode without immune rejection problem and also cost effective than stem cells therapy.

  3. Bio mesh scaffold augmented with mesenchymal stem cells conditioned media for quality wound healing

Mesh scaffolds are commonly used to provide a physical support in a weakened tissue. Biological materials have Recombinant antigen based sero-diagnosis of Infectious Bursal Disease by indirect ELISA
been introduced as an alternative because of their higher biocompatibility. Biocompatible mesh material augmented with stem cells conditioned media containing a battery of growth factors and cytokines, has better regenerative capacity by reducing the inflammatory reaction and improves healing rate and healed wounds are with minimum to nil scar. It is a product, augmented with rich mitogenic cocktail. It has enriched growth factors and cytokines with the capability of mechanical strengthening and immunomodulatory property of biomesh as well. Bio-mesh augmented with conditioned media derived from bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells for clinical applications to improve wound healing in animals. It can be used by pharmaceuticals, clinicians in veterinary/animal as well as in medical sciences.

  4. IVRI-Anti Diarrheal Herbal Formulation (ADHF)

Diarrhoea in animals, especially in the new born calf, is a major problem resulting in great economic loss Recombinant antigen based sero-diagnosis of Infectious Bursal Disease by indirect ELISA
to the livestock industry. Beside the specific oral antimicrobial therapy, correction of the associated fluid, electrolyte and acid-base imbalances by the use of supportive therapies are the most needed life saving measures. Indigenous herbal preparations to treat diarrhoea are an age old practice. It can be an appropriate sustainable eco friendly and cost-effective alternative to limit the sole dependency on chemical agent. An ideal polyherbal anti diarrheal formulation has been developed to control calf diarrhoea by Indian Veterinary Research Institute (ICAR) maintaining GLP and GMP using locally ava ilable plant materials. Uniqueness of newly developed herbal formulation was to bring the faecal consistency to normal by day 3 of treatment along with marked improvement in dehydration and depression scores also. It has profound economic significance to organized and unorganized herd. Formulation developed by IVRI would be cheaper than equivalent herbal formulation produced outside India if any. Extensive on field therapy in various agro climatic zones has been done denoting better effect even than modern medicine. A complete know how document, including standard usage, training and demonstration is covered under the offer.

  5. IVRI-Herbo Mineral Acaricide Formulation

Tick control programme was ranked high in terms of their impact on the livelihood of resource poor Recombinant antigen based sero-diagnosis of Infectious Bursal Disease by indirect ELISA
farming communities in developing countries including India. Resistance to existi ng chemical acaricides is widespread and newer classes of acaricides have tended to be significantly more expensive. Use of herbomineral acaricide can be an appropriate sustainable environment friendly and cost effective alternative to limit the sole dependency on chemical acaricides. An ideal polyh erbomineral acaricide has been developed to control cattle tick by Indian Veterinary Research Institute (ICAR) maintaining GLP and GMP using extracts of locally available plant materials and commonly known minerals. Uniqueness of newly developed herbomineral acaricide possesses remarkable antifeedant, anti ovipositional and fecundity reducing property to limit the tick population even in the next generation of survived ticks. It has profound economic significance to tropical countries especially in India, other Asian countries and African Continent. Formulation developed by IVRI would be cheaper than equivalent herbal acaricide produced outside India if any. Extensive on field trial in various agro climatic zones by topical application has been done depicting better effect even than modern chemical acaricide.
